About Me - Mazy Jane Burns
My background is in Web Design, I have 6 years experience in front-end web development coding xhtml & css and creating digital assets as well as Web Production and Project Co-ordination.
After specialising in User Centred Development for my M.A, I'm now working as a Usability consultant, where I use my technical and organisational skills to enhance what I can offer working with development teams to create more usable websites.
I've done usability work for a number of websites, including: www.nme.com
I've also done Information Architecture work for a number of clients at www.headshift.com
Technical skills / software include HTML / XHTML, CSS, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop and also some experience with Director / Lingo, Flash, and In Design.
Currently, though, I mostly use Morae usability software, write test scripts, conduct user tests, heuristic evalutions and also do some freelance I.A work.
I've also studied English Literature at BA level, and went on to do various courses in Film-making, Screenwriting, I.T and Web Design. I like traveling and live baby panda webcams.
